Our cats, on the other hand, love to ignore those things entirely and play with literally anything else, including hair ties and trash. It's okay, we've accepted that they enjoy random pieces of trash more than the $20 squeaky mice toys we buy them, but we're wondering, what do other cats like to play with?

    Pepper is absolutely obsessed with twist ties. I could buy her the most jingly, feathery, catnip-filled toy from the store (and have), but she'll eventually get tired of it and move on. She never gets tired of twist ties though. She will play with one for hours, and always chase it when I throw it- sometimes she even plays fetch! Only with a twist tie though. I bought something at Lowe's that had this extra long one in the packaging and she hasn't stopped begging me to throw it for a week. What

    Twist ties, really? More than the brightly-colored feathers? More than the catnip-infused scratch toys, more than the ball that rolls around by itself? Well, on the bright side, OP will never have to spend money buying toys again, just order 100 twist ties from Amazon for $5 and call it a day.

    This comment right here. Our cats are amazing - we love them, but, they also test our patience until the very last straw. Sometimes it's like anything we tell them not to do, they think, "Oh, wow, this looks like a great thing to do. Let's go!".

    RocMills 16 hr. ago Perry's absolute favorite toy is Q-Tips (well, any cotton swab). She likes to sit and wait for me to shoot them at her like throwing a dart. She'll either bat them back to me (more likely, bat them somewhere I have to get up to retrieve it) or play with them a moment before sitting at attention again to wait for me to throw another. It's a daily game. So far, we've gone through two boxes of 500 'tips (about half of them lost behind unmovable furniture).

    Scrivenerofmyth 19 hr. ago . Mostly plastic straws so if I get a takeaway drink, I have to watch it like a hawk else I'll hear a quiet, "nom, nom, nom" and it'll be chewed to beyond recognition! He also enjoys pen caps, the ends of glasses (especially if you're cleaning them and distracted...I think it makes them taste better?), plastic bottle caps, and yarn (which gives me nightmares)
